FAQ
How does booking work?
Each experience links to its listing on a booking platform (GetYourGuide or Viator). You book and pay there, so you get their confirmation, customer support and cancellation policy.
Do you charge extra?
No. You pay the same price as booking directly; we may earn a commission from the booking site. How we pick tours: How we choose.
Can I cancel?
Cancellation rules are set by each operator and booking site. Every listing we feature showed free cancellation up to 24 hours before on 16 Oct 2026; check the exact policy on the booking page.
When is whale shark season?
The official authorized period for whale-shark tours in the Mexican Caribbean is 15 May to 17 September (SEMARNAT, 2025–2027 seasons). Tours: Isla Mujeres, whale sharks & snorkel.
Are entry and park fees included?
Not always. Tulum's official entry fee (MXN 265 for foreigners, MXN 80 for Mexican nationals, per INAH) is paid separately on the Tulum day trip. The Isla Mujeres catamaran operators list their own extra fees (US$20 or US$45 per person); the official marine-park fee is MXN 125 per person (CONANP). Each page lists what the listing says. Compare: Cenotes & Mayan ruins · Isla Mujeres, whale sharks & snorkel.
Is hotel pickup included?
It depends on the listing and option. Each page notes what the listing says; confirm your hotel on the booking page.
